Merge PDF files into one document

Combining PDFs should be the simplest thing in the world, yet most tools make you upload confidential documents to a stranger's server first. This one does the merge locally, using your own browser as the engine.

Add as many PDFs as you need, put them in the right order, and download one clean combined file. Bookmarks and page content from each source document are copied across as-is.

Runs in your browser — your files are never uploaded.

How to Merge PDF

  1. Select two or more PDF files. You can add more files in a second pick — they get appended rather than replacing your selection.
  2. Use the arrows beside each file to set the order the documents should appear in.
  3. Press "Merge files" to download the combined PDF.

Frequently asked questions

In what order are the files combined?

Exactly the order shown in the file list. Use the up and down arrows next to any file to change it before merging.

Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?

There is no fixed limit. The practical ceiling is your device's memory, since the whole merge happens locally. Very large scanned documents are the usual constraint.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The merge runs entirely in your browser using local JavaScript. Nothing is transmitted, which is why the tool also works with no internet connection once loaded.

Can I merge a password-protected PDF?

Not directly. Encrypted PDFs need to be unlocked first, otherwise the file cannot be read. Remove the password in your PDF reader, then merge the unlocked copy.
