Crop the margins of a PDF
Scanned pages and documents built for one paper size often carry more white space than you want, especially when reading on a tablet. Cropping trims those margins so the content fills more of the screen.
You set the amount to remove from each edge in points, where 72 points equals one inch. The crop is applied to every page in the document.

Frequently asked questions
Is cropping reversible?
In principle yes — cropping sets a visible region rather than deleting content, so a full PDF editor can restore it. But keep your original if that matters to you.
What unit are the values in?
PDF points. There are 72 points to an inch, so 36 trims half an inch and 20 trims a little over a quarter inch.
Why was my crop rejected?
If the values would leave a page smaller than about one inch square, the tool stops rather than producing an unusable document.
Can different pages get different crops?
No, the same crop applies to every page. Mixed page sizes may need separate passes.
