Scan a document to PDF with your camera
A scanner app is usually the last thing standing between a paper document and an email. This tool replaces it with the camera you already have: photograph the page, pull the four corners onto its edges, and the perspective is straightened into a flat rectangle — the same correction a dedicated scanner performs, done here in the browser.
Corners are placed by hand deliberately. Automatic edge detection would mean loading a computer-vision library of around 9.5 MB — roughly nine times the weight of this entire site — and it still guesses wrong often enough that people end up correcting it themselves. Four drags is faster than that download, and it is right the first time.

How to Scan to PDF
- Open the tool and allow camera access, or press "Add photo" to use a picture you already took.
- Frame the page and press Capture.
- Drag the four handles onto the corners of the page, then press "Add this page".
- Repeat for every page, then press "Export scanned PDF".
Frequently asked questions
Do my photos get uploaded?
No. The camera feed, the captured images, and the finished PDF all stay on your device. Nothing is transmitted, which is the point when the document is a contract or an ID.
Why do I place the corners myself?
Automatic detection needs a large computer-vision library and still misreads busy backgrounds and low light. Dragging four handles takes a couple of seconds and is reliably accurate.
What do the look settings do?
"Scanned (grey)" stretches the contrast so paper reads white and ink reads black, which is what makes a photo look like a scan. "High contrast" pushes that to pure black and white for text-only pages. "Keep colour" leaves the photo as it is.
Can I scan several pages into one PDF?
Yes. Add as many pages as you need; they are collected in order and exported as a single document. You can remove any page before exporting.
It says the camera cannot be opened.
Either permission was declined, the browser has no camera access, or another application is using it. You can always use "Add photo" to pick an existing image instead.
